New to the CEDRA product line is the CEDRA-AGSTools software which is a collection of VB.NET software procedures designed for incorporation into new and existing ArcGIS Server Web Applications. Recognizing the growing interest of users to create Web based applications, the CEDRA-AGSTools software provides users the ability to incorporate specialized Viewing, Buffering, Exporting and Data Management tools into their Web based applications. Distributed in source code form, users are able to use the software as is or customize the software to meet their specific requirements.

Included with the software is a 1 year support plan that provides users assistance in the installation of the software, minor customization and software updates. Those interested in learning how the CEDRA-AGSTools software is incorporated into an existing ArcGIS Server Web Application should check out the August 2009 issue of Command of the Month.

Since the software is distributed in source code form, users are able to see exactly how the software is structured and make any desired modifications. The inline documentation provides an excellent means for users to learn how to use the ArcGIS Web ADF in developing ArcGIS Server Web Applications. The techniques shown in the code can then be applied to develop other custom tools. User will also realize that the license fee for the CEDRA-AGSTools software is far less than the cost to hire a consultant to develop all of the tools included in the CEDRA-AGSTools software. Additionally, there is no limit to the number of users that can access the tools within the CEDRA-AGSTools tools and there are no royalty fees if the CEDRA-AGSTools software is used to develop other ArcGIS Server tools.

The CEDRA Corporation provides state-of-the-art software for public works agencies, tax assessors, engineers, surveyors, utilities and others for querying, analyzing and maintaining geographic data bases. CEDRA’s AVseries^TM suite of software work directly within ESRI’s GIS software (ArcView® GIS and ArcGIS® 8.x or 9.x), thus eliminating the need to switch back and forth between various software packages.

In addition to being able to resell ArcView GIS and ArcGIS desktop products, CEDRA is also authorized to resell the ESRI Data and Maps StreepMap Pro software. StreetMap Pro is Tele Atlas Dynamap/Transportation, version 5.2, July 2003 street data and 2005 background maps for the United States and Canada. It contains more complete and current address information than StreetMap and is also positionally more accurate. One-way and turn restriction information ensures nationwide routing, and driving directions are generated with more accuracy. StreetMap Pro is delivered on a single DVD. It includes complete metadata files and is configured to work with the ArcGIS StreetMap toolbar (included with ArcGIS Desktop) and the optional ArcGIS Network Analyst extension.

It is important to note that StreetMap Pro provides nationwide address matching and street map display for the entire United States. StreetMap Pro layers automatically manage, label and draw features such as local landmarks, streets, parks, water bodies, and others. StreetMap Pro can find nearly any address in the United States by interactively matching a single address or by batch matching from a file of addresses.

Using StreetMap Pro offers a user the ability to:

• Geocode addresses and generate routes and driving directions.
• Use the data as a cartographic display.

CEDRA^TM provides state-of-the-art technology to design, explore, query and analyze data all within a self contained operating environment.
